The process for capturing the faces is simple: take a picture of the person's face, fit it to the outline onscreen, and then indicate where the mouth is. This makes it so when your elf starts singing and dancing, the mouth moves in time with the song.
By default, ElfYourself by Office Depot only includes two songs for your elves to sing and dance to. However, from the app's main menu you can buy tons of other songs. In all, there are over a dozen different songs available.
